Amborella not only designs really pretty floral bouquets, they also host workshops where you can learn to design your own bouquet and take it home. Yesterday, I attended the Peony Bouquet Workshop and along with my bouquet, I brought home three tips to keep your flower bouquets fresh longer.

Tip One To Keep Your Flower Bouquets Fresh Longer
Trim stems with a diagonal cut every two to three days. This allows more water to get to more surface area of the stems which means more absorption.
The greenery goes in first and then your focal bloom which in our case was this amazing Peony.
Tip Two To Keep Your Flower Bouquets Fresh Longer
Change out the water for fresh water every two to three days. You can do this while you are trimming the stems and it will extend the life of your bouquet.
Roses were the second flowers that we added to our bouquets. We trimmed off leaves that would be lower than the water level and also took off the outer layer of petals to keep the rose looking fresh.
Tip Three To Keep Your Flower Bouquets Fresh Longer
Store your bouquet in the fridge overnight. When you buy your flowers at a shop, they are stored in a refrigerated section to help them last longer. You can do this at home too!
