On September 29, 2018, Brookfield Place will transform from a downtown hub into a dramatic runway as PARK (Promoting Artists | Redefining Culture) celebrates Canadian fashion culture with PARKLUXE 2018 presented by Downtown Calgary. PARKLUXE is one of my annual must-attend events in Calgary, as it brings together premier high-end fashion designers and artists for a night of sophistication and luxury.
Through the past decade, PARK has been promoting Canadian artists and fashion designers with the focused intent on making Calgary a sustainable place for creative entrepreneurs to thrive.
This year, I am especially excited to see the SS2019 collection of headlining designer Nonie (Calgary) who made international headlines this summer when her trench dress was seen on Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Other collections will be shown from returning favourites such as UNTTLD (Montreal), Urbanovitch (Edmonton), Paul Hardy (Calgary), and Lauren Bagliore (Calgary/New York).
PARKLUXE will also feature a market before, during, and after the show where guests can shop and preorder looks right off the runway. The market takes place from 6 pm – 11:30 pm on September 29.
