Thanksgiving Week Reflections

This past Monday we celebrated Thanksgiving.  Max and I spent the day around a campfire enjoying a potluck Thanksgiving Feast with old friends and family in Kananaskis at the base of the Rocky Mountains.  Then we drove back into Calgary and ended the evening with new friends and Pumpkin Pie.

Isn’t it great to start the week with a holiday that makes you reflect on all the things you should be thankful for?

I am grateful for the unconditional love of my family.  Max and I are blessed!

I am in awe of and so thankful for the friends that choose to love and support me.  Hopefully I can be as good a friend to all of you as you are to me.

I am happy and proud to be working for a company that is doing great things in Calgary.  (Check out the Calgary Herald article on how Fiasco is helping Rebuild The Zoo!) The team at YYC Food Trucks and Fiasco Gelato came into my life at the perfect time!
Last, but not least, I am honoured to be a candidate in the 2013 Municipal Election for School Board Trustee.  Meeting with the engaged residents of Wards 6 & 7, getting to know passionate educators and working with the incredible team of volunteers that are helping with the campaign has been enlightening, encouraging and inspiring.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
