Boston Pizza Introduces Slow-Roasted Ribs

We moved back to Calgary during the 2010-11 NFL playoffs.  The NY Jets had just beat the Giants and excitement was running high.  Next up was the big game against the Patriots and we needed somewhere to watch the game with our 9 month old son.  The obvious choice was Boston Pizza–they have good food and drinks, are family-friendly and they have t.v.’s to watch the game on!  In spite of the Jets loss that night, I still have fond memories of Max in his NY Jets onesie jersery and our little family hanging out there to watch the game.

When Boston Pizza asked if I would help them share an exciting new item on their summer menu, I was happy to oblige!  Just in time for summer patio season, Boston Pizza announced that they are adding new, slow-roasted pork back ribs as the centerpiece of Boston Pizza’s summer feature menu.  You know all those tweets you saw about the Rib Stain Camo t-shirt?  Those t-shirts were made with Boston Pizza’s rib in mind!  I am headed there to try the ribs out in the next week and I think I might have to wear the Rib Stain Camo shirt myself.  Stay tuned for pics of that!

The new, super tender ribs are served with a choice of six tasty sauces including limited-time options Pizza-Q and Buffa-Q, made with Boston Pizza’s signature BBQ sauce and combined with either pizza or Buffalo wing sauce.

Besides new ribs, Boston Pizza’s summer menu is chock-full of good eats like Caesar Pizza (BBQ chicken pizza featuring Caesar spice on Boston Pizza’s signature hand-pressed dough), Tacos (grilled soft tacos topped with grilled chicken or breaded jalapeño shrimp), a Surf ‘n Turf Burger and Strawberry Pecan Salad. Guests can enjoy the summer menu at 350 locations across Canada until August 18, 2013.
