Ford trucks turn my head quicker than a handsome man these days. I’ve joked with my friends about making a list of must-have qualities for the men I date and the first box they need to check off is “Drives a Ford truck”.
All joking aside, the 2017 F-150 Raptor is one sexy beast of a truck. I don’t want a man to drive it…I want this truck all to myself. Inspired by off-road race trucks, the Raptor has a 10-speed automatic transmission, a wailing EcoBoost motor, and a long-travel suspension that lets it suck up impacts that would flatten lesser machines.
If you want to get real technical, I’m not the girl to talk to. I just know when I drive a Ford, it feels good, it looks good and I’m happy. However, I can say that I’ve used the incredible add-on features like the Park Assist, the 360 degree camera, the Auto Stop and the SYNC connect–it’s the closest I’ve ever come to feeling like Bionic Women. I’m always impressed.
Here’s my quick and dirty Snap from the Auto Show:
You can see the new 2017 trucks at the Calgary Auto and Truck this weekend and also experience some of Ford’s cool on-site activations like the Simzilla. This driving simulator puts three visitors behind the wheel at the same time on a timed driving course. It creates awareness of EcoBoost and key attributes that demonstrate the value of better fuel economy and lower emissions with the power of V5 and V6.
