I can never remember how many tablespoons are in half a stick of butter or how many teaspoons are in a tablespoon. The other day I googled ‘how many teaspoons in a tablespoon’ as I have done many times before and found out that the answer is different in Australia than it is here in North America! How crazy is that?
Anyway, memorizing anything to do with mathematical fractions and equations was never one of my talents. I guess I could try to explain it like Sherlock does when he says he empties his mind of useless, everyday facts for fear of filling up his brain and not having space for all the facts he really needs. I’m no Sherlock though and kitchen conversions would really be a helpful thing to remember.
I do have a favorite kitchen tool that helps with this problem. It’s called The Perfect Beaker and it has ounces, cups, teaspoons, tablespoons and more all in one beaker. I use this every time I cook or bake and would be lost without it.
This morning I found this beautiful infographic that would also be a great tool in the kitchen and would look amazing framed, or stuck up on a refrigerator. I would love to know what your most used kitchen tool or gadget is? Any favorites I should know about?
